1. Purpose of the App
This app is designed to help you track how you’re feeling — physically, mentally, and emotionally — and to reflect on how air quality may affect your day. It’s a personal wellness tool meant to support awareness and insight.
It is not a medical device and does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. For any health concerns, please reach out to a qualified healthcare professional.
2. Journaling and Data Accuracy
To keep your reflections meaningful and accurate, we recommend logging events that happened within the past 14 days. You’ll get the best results when you record entries as close as possible to when symptoms or experiences occur.
3. HIPAA Clarification (U.S. Users)
Because this app is not a healthcare provider or insurance service, it is not covered by HIPAA. The information you enter here is considered personal wellness data, not Protected Health Information (PHI).
If you choose to share your entries with a doctor or healthcare professional, that sharing is entirely up to you. Once a provider receives your information, they may be required to protect it under HIPAA. Your choice to share does not make this app a HIPAA regulated service.
For users outside the United States, HIPAA does not apply, but your data is still protected under our general privacy practices and any local laws that apply.
4. Your Responsibilities
By using the app, you agree to:
- Use it for personal, non-commercial purposes
- Avoid relying on it for medical decisions or emergencies
- Enter information as accurately as you can
- Follow all applicable laws while using the app
5. Privacy and Your Data
You own the content you create. We protect your information using industry-standard security practices, and you stay in control of what you record, delete, export, or share.
For more details, please review the Privacy & Data section in Settings.
Journal Entry Storage
Your journal entries are stored securely in your Air Diary account. This means your entries will not be deleted if you refresh your browser, clear browser data, delete the app, or reinstall it. You can sign in from any device to access your diary. Air Diary does not analyze or process the content of your entries; they are stored only so you can view, edit, and delete them.
6. Acceptable Use
To keep the app safe and functional for everyone, you agree not to:
- Interfere with or disrupt the app
- Reverse engineer or copy the app’s code or design
- Upload harmful, illegal, or abusive content
7. Intellectual Property
All app features, design elements, and content are owned by the app developer and protected by intellectual property laws.
8. Disclaimers
The app is provided “as is,” without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee the accuracy or availability of data, insights, or features.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent allowed by law, we are not responsible for any damages that result from using the app, including reliance on wellness insights or logged data.
10. Ending Your Use
We may suspend or end access to the app if these Terms are violated or if misuse is detected.
11. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the state of Colorado, United States, unless local laws require otherwise.
12. Privacy & Analytics
Air Diary does not store or analyze the content of your journal entries. When you export or share your entries, the app cannot control or guarantee the privacy of that content once it leaves your device.
We do record a small amount of anonymous, aggregate-friendly data to keep the service working and improve it:
- Share & download counts. When you export or share an entry or your Insights, we log only the event type and a timestamp — never the file, the recipient, or the content.
- Anonymous location. When you save an entry, we store the city, region, and country you attached to it. Precise GPS coordinates are never stored.
Analytics events are kept for up to 12 months and anonymous location rows for up to 24 months, after which they are deleted automatically. You can download or permanently delete all of this data — along with your account — from Settings → Privacy & data at any time.
